Drone Law Japan

We advocate laws and regulations for the operation of drones that ensure the safety of the public and at the same time enable recreational and commercial operators to use drones to the fullest extent.

The editor, a keen quad flyer, FAA flight instructor and lawyer, has over 12 years experience editing legal publications including for the Japanese Ministry of Justice and a regional United Nations criminal justice institute (UNAFEI).

He studied Japanese Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and is a graduate of the London School of Economics (LLB Hons), Temple University in Japan (LLM with distinction in Transnational Law) and the College of Law, London (Solicitor’s Finals).

He currently works at a Japanese law firm in Tokyo.
